- Bus-only tours available as well as the ability to append a helicopter trip onto your tour package.

Scenic Airlines is one of the foremost airplane tour companies serving the Grand Canyon today, and actually operates as a subsidy of another famous Grand Canyon airplane tour company, Grand Canyon Airlines (GCA). Despite their partnership, Scenic Airlines offers a different palate of choices for luxury one-of-a-kind air tourism in and around Grand Canyon National Park.
Advantages of Scenic Airlines
- Ability to hook up your camcorder to the plane’s digital narration system in order to clearly record all the details of your one-of-a-kind trip.
- Combination packages may include a helicopter ride, boat trip down the Colorado River or a visit to Monument Valley (Navajo Reservation).
- Tour durations vary from 2.5-7+ hours, giving tourists a variety of options.
Disadvantages of Scenic Airlines
- Tours originate in Las Vegas only.
- Many people felt that the helicopter portion of the combination trip was somewhat anticlimactic and not worth the extra money.
- The plane does not actually “fly over” the Grand Canyon; it is restricted air space and no company is allowed to do this.
- Due to air space restrictions, tours are run on a very tight schedule and those adding “extras” are often left with little time to sightsee at the Canyon itself.
