Part of the Bright Angel Lodge<\/strong><\/a> family of dining options, the Arizona Room is something extra special among the restaurants in Grand Canyon Village<\/a>. With everything from the d\u00e9cor to the menu inspired by the state that lends its name to the venue, this restaurant is charming and delicious. Serving lunch and dinner only, it\u2019s a popular option among many visitors to the area for its varied and regionally inspired menu.\/<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arizona Room Ambiance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

More formal in design than some of the other restaurants in Grand Canyon Village, the Arizona Room is sleek and chic. Creamy-colored walls with silvery accents are punctuated by bright, striking southwestern photographs. You\u2019ll see everything from sunset shots of the Grand Canyon to serene photographs of the ponderosa pines the region is famous for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairs and tables are made from a light-toned wood, with intriguing geometric cut-outs on the chairs that really drive home the southwestern aesthetic. The carpet is brightly colored with a native-inspired print, and the light fixtures mimic deer antlers \u2013 truly an Arizona experience! If you\u2019ve got a window seat, views of the canyon are mere feet away, although you can still see the sweeping canyon vistas from anywhere in the restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arizona Room Food<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Arizona Room, as mentioned above, is thoroughly inspired by the culture and climate of Arizona. Much of the cuisine is therefore southwestern in style, although they do offer classic favorites like steaks and seafood. As much as possible is sourced from local farmers, so you\u2019ll know that you\u2019re truly supporting local food businesses and producers with your meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lunch is served from 11:30 am \u2013 3:00 pm, and features options like soups and salads, sandwiches, tacos, and the popular free range bison chili. Please note that they are not open for lunch during November and December, when the least amount of traffic comes through Grand Canyon Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dinner is served from 4:30 pm \u2013 10:00 pm (unfortunately, there\u2019s no food service in between lunch and dinner). They begin with a number of playful small plates, like Arizona Sliders and Navajo Bean Dip. Then, you\u2019ll find hearty salads, Mexican-inspired fare, and a wide selection of sumptuous offerings from the grill, like a local filet mignon, baby back ribs, and ribeye steak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arizona Room Details <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As with most of the dining options in this area, the dress code is casual, so no need to worry about packing different clothes or changing. There are no reservations, but they do offer a waitlist during busy dinner hours, so if you come at a time when it\u2019s completely full, you can stick around and know you\u2019ll get a table soon enough. They also serve beer and wine from local brewers and artisans, so you\u2019re truly getting a locavore experience.  It\u2019s a bit pricier than most of the other options in the area, too, with the exception of El Tovar, so keep that in mind when planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neighborhood <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located near the Rim Trail, the Arizona Room is another fine option affiliated with Bright Angel Lodge. It\u2019s near other village hotels<\/a> as well, should you choose to stay elsewhere in Grand Canyon Village, like Maswik Lodge<\/a>, Yavapai Lodge<\/a>, Kachina<\/a> and Thunderbird Lodges<\/a>, and El Tovar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For things to do after you\u2019ve finished dining, it\u2019s hard to beat a stroll along the Rim Trail or a short walk onto Bright Angel Trail (it gets more challenging as you go, but is easier at the beginning). There are also some shopping options like the Kolb Studio & Park Store, Lookout Studio, or the Yavapai Geological Museum & Bookstore (a short drive further east). You could also explore Hopi House, a fun historic structure that\u2019s great for pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
