Flagstaff Hotels

Flagstaff is an ideal city for travelers to the American southwest looking for easy access to just about everything in the area. You’ll find mountains, deserts, and pine forests in the immediate vicinity, ski resorts a bit further afield, and the Grand Canyon itself around 75 miles north. Flagstaff is not only convenient, but affordable, too – the city provides a wide variety of lodging options that offer handy amenities and extra comforts at reasonable prices. The hotels themselves are grouped in different neighborhoods, with options in the historic downtown, some near the campus of Northern Arizona University, and a few a bit further out of the heart of downtown.

The town itself has much to offer travelers, whether they’re headed on to the Grand Canyon, or are looking to enjoy the great outdoors closer to Flagstaff itself. Flagstaff features a vibrant historic core with plenty of shops, art galleries, restaurants, and other fun local attractions. The railway also runs through town, which can be fun to observe if you’re seated on an outdoor patio downtown. The city is also home to Northern Arizona University (as mentioned above) and offers a number of amenities that cater to a college crowd but still appeal to travelers as well. NAU operates a small but fascinating art museum, and hosts a number of sporting events and other live entertainment at the Walkup Skydome. As far as outdoors recreation goes, you’ll find plenty of parks, golf courses, hiking trails, the Lowell Observatory, and more.
