Maverick Helicopters Earns Hai Operator Safety Award

For the fifth year in a row, Maverick Helicopters has earned the Helicopter Association International (HAI) Operator Safety Award.

The HAI Operator Safety Award is presented to companies that meet strict safety guidelines and for safe operations in the previous year. During 2009, Maverick Helicopters flew more than 23,000 hours, operated more than 30 helicopters and had zero (0) accidents. With regards to pilot safety training, the company, which received its first HAI Operator Safety Award in 2005, mandates aircraft flight and ground, as well as Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA), training annually.

“From the beginning we have been dedicated to providing our customers with the safest and most incredible helicopter tours possible,” said Greg Rochna, owner and operator of Maverick Aviation Group. “When customers fly with Maverick Helicopters, we want them to feel like they have seen every light in the Las Vegas Strip and every inch of the Grand Canyon – but we never forget that safety must always be the top priority.”
