Canyon Village Deli – Grand Canyon Village Restaurant

This quirky, eclectic general store has just about everything you might possibly need as you go about adventuring across the span of Grand Canyon National Park. The Canyon Village Market & Deli has been described as a store that features several different kinds of stores under a single roof, and you’ll believe it when you see it. Here you can find in just one place a deli, grocery store, clothing store, and a variety of camping and hiking gear, right alongside all sorts of crafts, collectibles, and sundry souvenirs.

Canyon Village Deli Ambiance

The Deli is a pleasant spot to grab a quick bite to eat. There is plenty of seating in this attractive area. The walls here are painted in fun, alternating swaths of gentle orange and a cool blue, and a series of murals depicts the beautiful red rock outcroppings of the canyon and the stunning Arizona landscape. Funky light fixtures hang from the ceiling to provide a unique feel to this otherwise functional space. Near the tables, a large row of windows let in a ton of light and glimpses of the great outdoors just outside. Decorative pines and beautiful vases sit on shelves above the checkout counter, adding cheerful spirit to the place. It is all very evocative of classic Southwestern interior designs.

Just steps away from the resources found inside the Market & Deli is the Canyon Village patio. Laid out on handsome bricks, the patio features nice wood, round-picnic tables with large umbrellas for shade/protection from the elements. These tables—big enough to sit groups of 6-8—are a great spot to eat a quick meal, plan your next move, look at the pictures you’ve taken already, and/or take inventory of the great souvenirs you’ve just purchased.

Canyon Village Deli Food

The Deli at Canyon Village Market provides a wide assortment of quick and easy meal options, suitable for either sitting and eating there in the store or grabbing and throwing in a cooler or backpack for the road ahead. They offer freshly made sandwiches, salads, and soups in a handy range of possible sizes. The sandwiches are available either hot or cold, readymade or prepared to custom order. They are pretty large, portions-wise—but still you can make it a combo by adding a drink and side soup or salad.

Other favorites here include the meatball sub, the pretzels, and the chili. The Deli offers a kids menu and a breakfast menu, too. Look for the custom-made waffles, or finish everything off with a big bowl of soft-serve ice cream.

Nearby, the Market stocks many grocery items and a terrific selection of drinks, including all sorts of non-alcoholic fare, local wines, and an outstanding assortment of (cold!) national and regional craft beers.
