Chill-N-Grill (also known as CnG Burgers) was opened in 2016 by local Page residents David and Laura Tennis, with the goal being to offer only the freshest foods containing only the best ingredients. Chill-N-Grill proudly specializes in serving a fun and tasty mix of burgers, wings, wraps, and shave ice. Closed on Sunday, it is open Monday through Wednesday from 11:00am to 8:00pm, and on Thursday through Saturday from 11:00am to 9:00pm. Daily specials are frequently available, and would-be guests are encouraged to call ahead in order to inquire as to the most up-to-date details.
Chill-N-Grill is a small, cozy spot. The menu is handwritten in a variety of chalk colors on a large blackboard behind the order counter. The intimate dining area consists of square red tables and basic black chairs. A couple televisions hang throughout the restaurant, while the lighting is spare and simple.
The theme here is unabashedly about encouraging you to imagine yourself spending at a day at the beach. The walls feature a variety of beach-themed trinkets; among the more striking decorations scattered throughout Chill-N-Grill are a surfboard emblazoned with the word “ALOHA” and a vivid painting depicting a shoreline with palm trees and yet more surfboards stuck upright in the sand.
The menu at Chill-N-Grill in Page is basic, but it has all the classic staples that you might expect from a typical American diner. Portions are regarded by most as fairly significant, and the prices are a little lower than some other nearby dining establishments. Chill-N-Grill is open for both lunch and dinner.
Here you place your order at the counter and seat yourself. Several different kinds of burgers highlight the menu, including a bacon cheeseburger, a green chili cheeseburger, and a veggie burger. Also on the menu are favorites like patty melts, Philly cheesesteaks, BLTs, and fish & chips. For those 12 years old and under, a Kids Meal—featuring your choice of 2 sliders, 2 chicken strips, or a grilled-cheese sandwich—is available. A couple different kinds of wraps are also on the menu, as well as a chicken tostada salad.
However, no trip to Chill-N-Grill is truly complete without dessert! The standout here is of course Hawaiian shave ice. The list of flavors on tap is always changing, but there are always upwards of three-dozen options on the menu—a few of which flavors are available in a sugar-free format. The sizes are small or large, and for a small upcharge you can even add ice cream, condensed milk, whipped cream, or heavy cream to your shave ice. If shave ice is not your thing, don’t worry: you can also grab a frozen banana, root beer float, or dish of regular ice cream here.
One of the highlights of Chill-N-Grill is its sizable outdoor patio. Weather allowing, this is the place to be when dining here. The seating involves a nice mix of smaller, circular tables for groups of 2 or 4 interspersed with larger, rectangular picnic benches. Shade is provided by a cluster of trees, and most tables have their own umbrellas, too. On really hot days, Chill-N-Grill even turns on a mist-machine to provide maximum outdoor cooling comfort to guests. There is also a small game area, which is perfect for families and kids! You’ll find there a “giant Jenga”-game, as well as cornhole equipment.
Chill-N-Grill is located just around the corner from the John Wesley Powell Museum, and right off Lake Powell Boulevard—which serves as one of Page’s primary thoroughfares and is home to a significant number of local businesses, restaurants, and hotels. Chill-N-Grill is also just a short drive from famous area landmarks like Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam Overlook, Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon, and Canyon X.
Several different types of accommodations are available nearby, and include prominent lodging options like Holiday Inn Express & Suites Page-Lake Powell Area, Baymont by Wyndham Page Lake Powell, Wingate by Wyndham Page Lake Powell, Best Western View of Lake Powell Hotel, Hyatt Place Page/Lake Powell, La Quinta Inn & Suites Page at Lake Powell, and quite a few other lodging choices.
